Characteristics:
Ø     Hybrid first- generation, the emerald type of chieh-qua.
Ø       Early maturity, first female flower bloomed at 8-11 node, each 3-4 node bloom a female flower, it is normal that two or three female flowers bloom at node.
Ø     Tolerant to heat and cold, plant sprawl, vigorous growth, strong adaptability to soil, early cultivate, dark green leaf, abundant female flowers, it is easy to fruit setting, high yield.
Ø     Fresh and light green flesh, cylinder shape, uniform fruit setting, compact and firm floss on the epidermis. After about 7 days pollination, tender chieh-qua can be picked about 18-20cm in length, 6-8cm in transverse diameter, 450-550g in weight, chambers of heart is small. 35cm in length when it is matured.
Ø     Compact and green flesh, it is available to raw eaten with iced, excellent taste.
Cultivate points:
1.      Spring sowing from December to April of next year, build a small canopy to keep temperature, autumn sowing from July to September, depends on different climate of different area, we suggest you can make a trial.
2.      Build a stable shed for planting, make ridge 20-30cm in length and 2m in width, pay attention on preventing plants from water-logging when spring sowing.
3.      Require sufficient base fertilizer, decrease nitrogen fertilizer but increase compound fertilizer, avoid vigorous growth. Need more organic fertilizer and Phosphorus and potassium when growing.
4.      Prevent against powdery mildew and blight.
